Those 

Marvelous mysteries

Like sunlight

above the trees

Often we behold

so many wonders

Right below our nose 


With a sigh

Realize there’s so much

to this life


Hope seems 

such a distant cause

When in our thoughts 

we find ourselves lost

Looking so far 

down the line

That we stumble

over the sublime


At our feet

In our grasp

Miss it while 

holding on to the past…

If we can stop

Take a breath

Take solace in

where we’re at


I know it’s hard

but gotta try

There is more

If we open our eyes…
