Prayer for Healing

Lord,

I am weary

This rattling in my chest

My breath labored,

Cannot rest

Long night,

Now I confess

I am so tired

Need your help


I know that sickness

Is part of this life

The feeble nature

Of our strife

Often times just 

Trying to survive


Today,

I hope

I pray 

Please take 

this burden away


Wrestling

With the thoughts

That often come

As I’m trying to be strong

I come undone

Just want to rest

To find a little

Peace

To numb


The aches

In my head

The fear

Rises instead


Of totally giving 

myself to you 

Yet, I am here

I know exactly what 

To do


Knees find their place,

I wait

I hope

I pray

In you.
