Through the Trials
We cannot reap
Where we do not sow
There is no peace
Without letting go
There is no victory
Without the fight
But in the end,
It’s not about might
It’s about standing
It’s about dirty knees
Fallen and broken
When we cry out
“Please”
The past can bind us
Hold us in place
Even when it tries to
Bring us down
Persevere, run the race
Hope is eternal
Pain will cease
There is victory
Though some call it defeat
Lay down your burdens
Cling to your faith
Let it be manna
Given new each day
