the narrow way

Lead me through

The narrow gate

Along the path to you

When I struggle,

When I’m alone

Guide my thoughts,

Let my actions prove

That I am so much smaller

Than the universe, the stars

Help me recognize

Your goodness

When I feel so small

And can’t tell where

You are

Focus my heart

On the heartbeat

You provide

Let the stirring in my spirit

Never want to hide

And when I’m feeling lonely

When I wake up

Wanting someone there

Hold me close and help me

Be keenly aware

That you are real

You fill my spirit

With the oxygen

Of heavenly things

And if I choose

All I have to do is inhale

<breathe>

You are what I need

Waiting on the sunrise

Wishing on stars

That will soon disappear

Lead me to your presence

Remove any once of fear

Because fear is a reminder

Of how fragile my spirit rests

Lighting the darkness

Inside this hollow flesh

Lead me on

I’m here

Wanting to honor

What you gave

My life (hopefully)

a reflection

In the man you chose

To save

““Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
