You - a Prayer

You 

are the joy when 

rain clouds beckon

You

cover me like a blanket

when I’m cold


You

hear me 

through muted tears

You

hold me

and never let me go


You

take my spirit 

when I’m not sure the path

You 

meet me where I’m at

show me the way to go 


You 

comfort me

when my spirit can’t find rest

You

speak truth

when the lies press 

against my chest


You

are my king and savior

You 

are true and able

to do anything


It amazes me

the life you give to me


Thank you, Lord

for everything
