Light

In the moments

of desperation 

When the sun

don’t seem to shine

Where is hope

when day seems night?


Inside -

Heart holds true

to the promise

that’s born of you


Light

may be but a flicker

But a spark

leads to a fire

Open up my insides

to the promise

I hold so dear


Lead me

when I can’t see it

Rip the scales

from worn out eyes

And focus

my attention

To your

saving light


Lighting up 

the soul inside
