Prayer - Otherwise I’ll Fall

Lord,

Help me

When the darkness overcomes my weary soul

The world subscribes to madness

And I just long to be whole


Help me find the courage

To stand against the will of men

When draped with the sickness

That society doesn’t see as sin


Hold me when I waver

Steady these feet and help me hear

The simple amidst the chaos

And make your will be clear


Even when I think I know

The way ahead, let me pause

And take a breath before You

“Direct me on, Dear God”


Because otherwise

I’ll fall.
