Unchanging Love
The winds blow
O’er the rolling vistas
Sun bears down
As summer starts its vigil
Our lives go through seasons
We feel the heat,
the sting of pain
Days where there is thunder
mixed with pouring rain
Cold comes in November
darkness announces winters chill
Freezing our hope
as we find it hard to be still
We are finite
Small, like leaves upon the wind
Scattered so easily
if we don’t find the hope within
But You
bring light in the storm
You
Never change
Your love
Opens up the door
There is no love
like you
There is no wind
without your voice
There is no life
without you speaking
Even our hearts
beat with the choice
Given my you
And you never change
You are always the same
Your unchanging love
Remains
Like a lighthouse
on the shore
You light the way
You
Show us love
You
Rescue us from the deep
You light the night sky
With too many stars to count
Before I sleep…
And you never change
You are always the same
Your unchanging love
Remains
Like a lighthouse
On the shore
You light the way

“Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity And passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in unchanging love. He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities under foot. Yes, You will cast all their sins Into the depths of the sea. You will give truth to Jacob And unchanging love to Abraham, Which You swore to our forefathers From the days of old.”
Micah 7:18-20 NASB1995
