Don’t wanna wait

until there’s trouble up ahead

To take a moment

Bow my head

and ask him “Please”


And when the storm is brewing

Hope I’ll listen to the stirrings

in my chest 

and find my knees


Whether sunshine

or rain

The only way I can find my way

is to open up my heart
