Listen - he’s always there

The father says “listen

Let me tell you where to go 

I know you’ll find a path 

And at times wander ‘to and fro’ 

But if you’ll hear me, 

Listen to my voice 

I promise I can make it easier 

It just takes a choice 

And that may sound simple 

In fact, it really is 

Except the world doesn’t want you 

To know that peace exists 

So I tell you 

As you travel down the road 

Know you can always call out 

And I’ll be there, ready to show 

Days can be hard 

Nights can be cold 

But let me remind you 

That I never let you go 

And one day down that road 

You’ll stand back in front of me 

And I’ll open my arms 

And say, 

‘Come to me’

Cause you’ll be home!”
