Tender Mercies

Flow like Heaven

Upon the earth

Those breaths

That find us 

Show us we’re worth

More than the bustle

We stop and see

More of the mercies

And this, I sing 


A song

Lilting on the cool autumn wind

Reminding me

I’m not alone

I always can depend

On the truth

Deep in my heart

That is where 

Those mercies 

Find their start


And when the madness

Tries to hide the light

I can always 

Look deeper inside


Those tender mercies

Bring solace

And warm the heart inside


Those tender mercies

I carry deep inside.
