God is with us

in the weary

when our bones start

to bend and break


God is with us

as the tears flow

when our insides

start to shake


The breath He gives,

Gives us life

puts an end

to our strife


If we stop

try to listen

deep down -

His presence stirs


All our hope

thought lost,

forgotten

slowly, will emerge


He gives us life

all He asks

is that we try


To open eyes

ears and spirit

our body weak

He already knows


But He is there

He is with us

ready to show


Us life

He did -

He gave His life


For you and I.
