Said a Man

Said a man

to the beggar

‘What is it you need?’

Lord I need redemption

But I can’t see

Said that man

to the beggar

‘It’s true, you can’t see

When the Truth stands here before you

Open your eyes

and believe’

Blind man opens his eyes

for the first time

Imagine what he sees

Sitting in the darkness,

Now eclipsed by light

The power of a savior

to command day from darkest night

Trust is the answer

Sometimes all it takes

is to open closed eyes

When the savior comes our way

In the wind

In the still small voice

In the moments

when we feel so lost

That gentle touch

that quiets the noise

Said a man

to that beggar

‘Now, what will you do?

Pick up your mat

Carry on

Let your heart be ever renewed

By this choice

When you trusted

In my voice

And were made new.’
