You find me

In the moments 

just before the dawn

When soreness clears your body 

as you let out a mighty yawn

When your days have been troubled

You can find my rest

In the stillness of the morning 

Waiting for sun to crest 


Over the horizon

Above waiting skies

Wipe away those tears

Clear the sadness from you eyes


You find me

In the simple

When you take a breath

Like an inhaled prayer

And let out all that hinders

As you stand, fully aware

Of skies and time and being

Still feeble as you ask

For a little peace - I bring you

More than you could ever have grasped 


Now hearts that are heavy

Seem less so

As you look to me

And let go


You find me

When you seek me

Though I am always there

In the trouble

In the joyful

I await you

And if you dare

Take the moment

To lift your head

I am here child

I’ve never left


You find me.
