Last sips

Waiting for sunrise

Open my eyes

Taking the last sips 

Of night’s starlight

As I say goodbye

To rest that was needed

Body and soul

Now seek the warmth

Of sun to behold

Arise

Sleeping sun

Moon says goodnight

As stars vanish

One by one

Into day.
