Where my heart resides, a psalm for morning

Heavy dose of sunrise

Opening my eyes

Stars have lost their luster

Moon has said goodnight

Morning breaks horizon

Miles stretch before my way

Up and traveling onward

This, a brand new day


Hope hasn’t left

It sits right beside 

As I continue on this journey

Know my heart resides 


Tho fear may come

When dark tries to hide

I look up

To where my heart resides


Oh, where my heart resides.
