Day at a Time

Fresh air on my face

Still a little out of place

Yet my spirit craves the sun

Shining down

On all I’ve known


As I walk on

Day at a time

Finding solace in these moments

Before my eyes


And I’m not settled

Still fight within

But I’ve been given more

Thank I can understand


With each day

I soldier on

Seeking the Path I’ve been given

And move on…


Knowing that beyond all this

There is more.
