Again

I’m still me

as I’m siting here this morning

Feeling alone

Even as I know your glory

Sits waiting for me to see

That you’re here 

Holding me


Even as I walk through

the loneliness that lingers

You’ve been the constant

When I lose my step, meander

Through the hurts

That I just don’t know how to let go

How many times have I simply asked

‘Take this pain from my soul’


In the stillness

The only sound, my flowing tears 

You are here

Asking me to let go

of my fears

Again


So I do

Please take away the pain

Again.
