Oh, Lord

Meet me in the morning

Send your presence

Like dew upon the ground

Clothe me with your sunshine

Let your radiance abound

In me


Let me see

Each cloud that forms a picture

Ever changing as I breathe

In this day set before me

Oh, Lord

Show me your way 


As I walk on

Let me hear the birds 

Finding solace

Even though I can’t make out the words

As they praise

Lifting up the first song

Of this day


Take the dark that wants 

to hide within me

All the trappings 

I fall into as I trod

Shine your light surely 

upon my middle

Where nothing can escape you

Oh, my God


This I pray


Today


Meet me in the solace

Before I go on my way

Knowing you’re beside me

Walking with me as 

Your light illuminates 

Each step I take.
