Abide
When I’m lost
When I’m hurting
As the day opens up and breaks
Tears like rivers flowing
My whole world erupts and shakes
Not lost upon the morning
As I sit here oh, so small
Find my spirit longing
For the hope that covers all
There is a place I run to
In the crevice of the rock
Where my salvation finds
The peace I longingly sought
There
I abide
In the presence
I seek and find
More than empty promises
Filled from the very source
Of holy, living water
As my spirit quiets from the noise
There
I abide
Lift up my weary head
As I kneel by his side
The father opens arms
And takes me in
I am replenished
Growing closer from within
And there
I abide
Never wanting to leave
His peace, I find

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
John 15:4-5 NASB1995
